Ewa Kowar-Mikołajczyk

A close associate of Professors and continuator of their methodological ideas. A violinist of the Warsaw Chamber Orchestra and the Warsaw Symphony Orchestra. The artist has made CD, radio and television recordings. She has given concerts in the whole of Europe, as well as in Korea and Japan (Santory Hall).

Since 1986 she has worked as a violin teacher at the Complex of State Music Schools no. 1, including the Z. Brzewski General Music School. In 2007 she taught at Keimyung University in South Korea. Ewa Kowar-Mikołajczyk sits on a jury of competitions. She conducts violin and chamber courses, as well as methodological lectures. She is a lecturer and methodologist of the International Music Courses in Łańcut (in 2013 she supervised the Methodological Course). Her students win awards an national and international competitions.

For her teaching and artistic activity she was awarded with: Award of the Minister of Culture, decoration For Merits to Polish Culture, Medal of the National Education Committee, award of the FCUM’s Rector, award of Director of the Centre of Artistic Education. Since 1996 she has been General Secretary of the European String Teachers Association Poland. Since 2009 Ewa Kowar-Mikołajczyk has been President the Society of Friends of the Zenon Brzewski School in Warsaw.

Ewa Kowar-Mikołajczyk, DMus, is a member of the Unit of String Instruments being part of the Department of Instrumental and Educational Studies of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music.
