Krzysztof Kusiel-Moroz

He studied symphonic-operatic conducting in Professor Stanisław Wisłocki’s class at the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw where he graduated in 1990. He also studied choir conducting with Ryszard Zimak. Ever since he graduated he has been affiliated with his alma mater as a teacher of conducting and conductor of the FCUM Mixed Choir.

Krzysztof Kusiel-Moroz is a very active conductor. He has conducted the following Polish philharmonic orchestras: the National Philharmonic in Warsaw, the Opole, Bydgoszcz, Białystok Philharmonics and the “Sinfonia Varsovia” Orchestra. He has conducted at the International “Wratislavia Cantans” Festival four times.

He has also performed abroad, e.g., in Germany (Darmstadt, Passau, Hamburg, Bremen and Oldenburg), the Benelux countries (The Hague, Antwerp, Gouda, Luxembourg) and also in France, Lithuania, Latvia and Norway and — outside of Europe — in Japan (Tokyo, Osaka, Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Fukoka and others) and the USA. Many of these concerts were broadcast by radio and television.

Krzysztof Kusiel-Moroz is Director of the Warsaw Boy’s and Men’s Choir at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw with which he has prepared and personally conducted many oratory and choir works. He has also made many phonographic recordings with this choir.
