The Main Library

The FCUM has a very large library dat­ing back to the nine­teenth cen­tury which now amounts to over 100 thou­sand books and music scores and about 20 thou­sand records, cas­settes and tapes. (A num­ber of nineteenth-century auto­graphs, scores and books have sur­vived). The library con­sists of a read­ing room (which seats 25) with a ref­er­ence sec­tion, lend­ing room and sound library (five cab­ins with stereo equip­ment) and a divi­sion at the Instru­men­tal and Edu­ca­tional Depart­ment in Białys­tok.
