Professor Violetta Bielecka

Pro­fes­sor of Music Arts, Depart­ment of Instru­men­tal and Edu­ca­tional Stud­ies in Białys­tok of the FCUM. She fin­ished pri­mary and sec­ondary music school in Białys­tok (Pro­fes­sor Z. Frankiewicz’s piano class) and grad­u­ated with hon­ours from the Fry­deryk Chopin Acad­emy of Music in War­saw (Pro­fes­sor Ryszard Zimak and Pro­fes­sor Józef Bok’s classes).

She leads two choirs: “Schola Can­to­rum Bialosto­cien­sis”, the Music School Group’s girls’ choir, and “Can­tica Can­ta­mus”, the Białys­tok Cham­ber Choir.

In 1999–2005 she was head of the Choir Con­duct­ing Unit at the Białys­tok Branch of the FCAM in War­saw (now the Depart­ment of Instru­men­tal and Edu­ca­tional Stud­ies in Białystok).

She ini­ti­ated and orga­nized three Young Choir­mas­ters Com­pe­ti­tions at the Białys­tok Branch of the FCAM. In 1995–1999 she was employed at the F. Nowowiejski Acad­emy of Music in Byd­goszcz. In 1995–1997 she was vocal con­sul­tant to the Oper­atic Choir at the National Opera The­atre in Warsaw.

She teaches a singing class at the I. J. Paderewski Music School Group in Białys­tok. She has been pres­i­dent of the Friends of Choral Music “Can­tica Can­ta­mus” Soci­ety and organ­iser of the Inter­na­tional Work­shops for Pol­ish and Pol­ish Emi­grant Youth since 1998. She has been artis­tic direc­tor of the Inter­na­tional Pod­laski Fes­ti­val “Łapskie Te Deum” since 2000.

She sits on the juries of choir fes­ti­vals and com­pe­ti­tions in Poland and abroad.

She is deputy dean of the Depart­ment of Instru­men­tal and Edu­ca­tional Stud­ies in Białys­tok of the FCUM for term 2008–2012.
