Professor Tadeusz Gadzina, DMus Hab.

Upon grad­u­at­ing from Music High School in Wrocław he began to study at the State High­er School of Music in War­saw in Pro­fes­sor Zenon Bąkowski’s class. He per­fect­ed his skills at Guild­hall School of Music and Dra­ma under such mas­ters as Yehu­di Menuhin and Yfran Nea­man.

Tadeusz Gadz­i­na has won sev­er­al inter­na­tion­al vio­lin com­pe­ti­tions includ­ing J. Sibelius Helsin­ki, N. Pagani­ni Genoa, H. Wieni­aws­ki Poz­nań, Flesh Lon­don and Queen Eliz­a­beth Brus­sels. In 1993 he also won a gold medal at the Inter­na­tion­al Prize Win­ners’ Con­test in Plewen, Bul­gar­ia. He has been very suc­cess­ful both as a soloist and as a cham­ber music per­former. He has been the first vio­lin­ist in the famous Wilanów Quar­tet ever since the group was found­ed, i.e., from 1967 to this day.

As a soloist he has made many radio, tele­vi­sion and record record­ings. For exam­ple, he made a record of Witold Lutosławs­ki and Karol Szy­manowski’s music. He per­forms sys­tem­at­i­cal­ly in Europe, Japan, USA, Brasil and Cana­da.

He has con­duct­ed many mas­ter cours­es in Poland and abroad. He also co-oper­ates with the Japan­ese cham­ber orches­tra “Tokio Solis­ten” with which he made a record pro­duc­tion of J. S. Bach’s works.

Tadeusz Gadz­i­na also teach­es. He is a pro­fes­sor at the Fry­deryk Chopin Uni­ver­si­ty of Music in War­saw where he teach­es a mas­ter vio­lin class.
