Professor Magdalena Czajka

Born in Wrocław. There she graduated from the Secondary Music School, piano class under Ewa Piotrowska. Ser music studies, crowned with diplomas with honours, she completed at the Academy of Music in Warsaw, Department of Sound Engineering under Professor Antoni Karużas, and Department of Piano, Harpsichord and Organ, class of organ under Professor Andrzej Chorosiński.
Within the period of two years, as a scholarship holder of the French Government and the Rotary Club, she developed her skills at the master class under Daniel Roth in Strasburg, obtaining the first prize unanimously a. warded to her at the end. She is the prize winner of the 3rd J.S. Bach Switzerland Organ Competition. She participated in master courses of interpretation run by: Guy Bovet, Christiane Jaccottet, Gustav Leonhardt, Michael Schneider, Zsigmond Száthmary, Monserrat Torrent, Herbert Wulf and others. She gave performances in most European countries.
She translated books by Nicolaus Harnoncourt into Polish (Muzyka mową dźwięków, Dialog muzyczny).
She is Professor at Warsaw’s University of Music, where since 2005 she has headed the Chair of Harpsichord and Organ. She is a jury member in organ competitions and is invited to run courses of interpretation in Poland and abroad.
