Professor Krzysztof Kusiel-Moroz

He stud­ied symphonic-operatic con­duct­ing in Pro­fes­sor Stanisław Wisłocki’s class at the Fry­deryk Chopin Acad­emy of Music in War­saw where he grad­u­ated in 1990. He also stud­ied choir con­duct­ing with Ryszard Zimak. Ever since he grad­u­ated he has been affil­i­ated with his alma mater as a teacher of con­duct­ing and con­duc­tor of the FCUM Mixed Choir.

Krzysztof Kusiel-Moroz is a very active con­duc­tor. He has con­ducted the fol­low­ing Pol­ish phil­har­monic orches­tras: the National Phil­har­monic in War­saw, the Opole, Byd­goszcz, Białys­tok Phil­har­mon­ics and the “Sin­fo­nia Varso­via” Orches­tra. He has con­ducted at the Inter­na­tional “Wratislavia Can­tans” Fes­ti­val four times.

He has also per­formed abroad, e.g., in Ger­many (Darm­stadt, Pas­sau, Ham­burg, Bre­men and Old­en­burg), the Benelux coun­tries (The Hague, Antwerp, Gouda, Lux­em­bourg) and also in France, Lithua­nia, Latvia and Nor­way and — out­side of Europe — in Japan (Tokyo, Osaka, Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Fukoka and oth­ers) and the USA. Many of these con­certs were broad­cast by radio and television.

Krzysztof Kusiel-Moroz is Direc­tor of the War­saw Boy’s and Men’s Choir at the Fry­deryk Chopin Uni­ver­sity of Music in War­saw with which he has pre­pared and per­son­ally con­ducted many ora­tory and choir works. He has also made many phono­graphic record­ings with this choir.
