Professor FCUM Jarosław Wróblewski, DMus Hab.

Jarosław Wróblews­ki began his career in the organ class of Pro­fes­sor Maria Ter­lec­ka in Białys­tok. In the years of 1988–1993, he stud­ied at the Fry­deryk Chopin Acad­e­my of Music in War­saw, where he grad­u­at­ed in the organ class of Pro­fes­sor Józef Ser­afin.
In the peri­od of 1993–2002, he stud­ied at the Hochschule für Musik und darstel­lende Kun­st Mozar­teum in Salzburg in the class of Pro­fes­sor Herib­ert Met­zger, who grad­u­at­ed with hon­ours and received the prize of the Min­is­ter of the Repub­lic of Aus­tria, and since 1995, at the depart­ment of Catholic Church Music, he grad­u­at­ed with hon­ours in the fol­low­ing spe­cial­ties: organ, choral con­duct­ing, organ impro­vi­sa­tion, and church com­po­si­tion.
He par­tic­i­pat­ed in numer­ous organ fes­ti­vals and was the prizewin­ner of the fol­low­ing com­pe­ti­tions:

As a soloist, con­duc­tor and cham­ber musi­cian, Jarosław Wróblews­ki has per­formed in Poland, the Czech Repub­lic, Aus­tria, Ger­many, Ukraine and Switzer­land, tak­ing part in numer­ous first per­for­mances of works by con­tem­po­rary com­posers (Seierl, Raditschnig, Mah­moud, Przy­byl­s­ki).
For many years, he also worked as a church musi­cian in sev­er­al church­es of Salzburg (Wals Pfarre, Pfarre Parsch, St. Michaelkirche), then in St. Anna in Piaseczno, and St. Anna Col­le­giate in Wilanów, per­form­ing organ and litur­gi­cal music impro­vi­sa­tion and church com­po­si­tion.
In addi­tion to solo per­for­mances, Jarosław Wróblews­ki has worked with many orches­tras and vocal and instru­men­tal ensem­bles (Nation­al Phil­har­mon­ic Orches­tra, War­saw Phil­har­mon­ic Cham­ber Orches­tra, Col­legium Musicum St. Gallen, Sin­fonieorch­ester der Hochschule Mozar­teum, Capel­la Byd­gostien­sis, Szczecin Phil­har­mon­ic Orches­tra), as well as with soloists and ensem­bles par­tic­i­pat­ing in con­certs and record­ings.
For many years, Jarosław Wróblews­ki coop­er­at­ed with the Inter­na­tion­al Soci­ety of Paul Hofhaymer in Salzburg, for whom he pre­pared a num­ber of musi­cal pro­duc­tions (includ­ing the per­for­mance of all the organ works of Jehan Alain).
Jarosław Wróblews­ki received Doc­tor­ate degree at the Acad­e­my of Music in Krakow in 2006.
He was a senior lec­tur­er at the Insti­tute of Musi­col­o­gy of the KUL and cur­rent­ly at the Fry­deryk Chopin Acad­e­my of Music in War­saw as well as an organ teacher at the Józef Elsner Sec­ondary School of Music in War­saw.

He has held the func­tion of Vice-Dean of the Depart­ment of Piano, Harp­si­chord and Organ at the Fry­deryk Chopin Uni­ver­si­ty of Music since 2012.

In addi­tion to the artis­tic work, Jarosław Wróblews­ki has been engaged in sci­en­tif­ic activ­i­ties (lec­tures, sem­i­nars, mas­ter class­es, pub­li­ca­tions, ency­clopaedic entries).
