Prorec­tor for Stu­dents’ and For­eign Affairs

Jagna Dankowska, PhD: post­doc­toral degree in phi­los­o­phy (War­saw Uni­ver­sity), sound engi­neer (Fry­deryk Chopin Acad­emy of Music — AMFC), Pro­fes­sor at the Fry­deryk Chopin Uni­ver­sity of Music.

1991–2005 — head of the Unit of Human­i­ties and For­eign Lan­guages (now the Chair of Human­i­ties). Deputy vice-dean from 2002 to 2005 and dean from 2005 to 2008 of the Depart­ment of Com­po­si­tion, Con­duct­ing and The­ory of Music.

In 2008 she was elected prorec­tor for Stu­dents’ and For­eign Affairs for term 2008–2012.

She spe­cialises in the phi­los­o­phy of music, par­tic­u­larly nineteenth-century Ger­man phi­los­o­phy of music as well as Pol­ish phi­los­o­phy and aes­thet­ics of music.

Author of The Foun­da­tions of Phi­los­o­phy of Music. Ger­man 19th cen­tury phi­los­o­phy and music aes­thet­ics (War­saw 2001) and many arti­cles on the phi­los­o­phy and aes­thet­ics of music.
