A ket­tle­drum soloist at the Great The­atre – Nation­al Opera in War­saw and an out­stand­ing cham­ber musi­cian.

He has played con­certs in Europe, Asia (Chi­na and Japan) and Ame­rica. He has per­formed with such artists as: Krzysz­tof Pen­de­recki, Witold Luto­sław­ski, Jerzy Sem­kow, Kazi­mierz Kord, Marc Min­kow­ski, Char­les Dutoit, Mont­ser­rat Cabal­lé, José Cura, Bar­bara Hen­drix, Ben Hep­p­ner, Michel Pon­ti, Pla­cido Domin­go, Renée Fle­ming, or Piotr Becza­ła.

Hen­ryk Mikoła­jczyk has made numer­ous record­ings onto CDs and for radio and tele­vi­sion in Poland and abroad. He has col­lab­o­rat­ed with the fol­low­ing orches­tras: Nation­al Phil­har­mon­ic,  Pol­ish Radio and Tele­vi­sion, Sin­fo­nia Var­so­via and War­saw Sym­pho­ny Orches­tra. The ensem­bles he has per­formed with are: Ars Nova, Came­rata Vis­tu­la and War­saw Cham­ber Opera. He is a mem­ber of the War­saw Per­cus­sion Group and the cham­ber music ensem­ble of the Nation­al Phil­har­mon­ic called ‘War­saw Brass’. He found­ed the ensem­ble known as The TW-ON Per­cus­sion Group.

Since 1984 he has pur­sued vivid teach­ing activ­i­ty. He edu­cat­ed many lau­re­ates of nation­al and inter­na­tion­al com­pe­ti­tions. In the peri­od of 1984–2012 he taught per­cus­sion play­ing at the Karol Szy­manows­ki Com­plex of State Music Schools in War­saw. Cur­rent­ly he teach­es per­cus­sion class at the Fry­deryk Chopin Uni­ver­si­ty of Music, Depart­ment of Instru­men­tal and Edu­ca­tion­al Stud­ies in Białys­tok and Depart­ment of Instru­men­tal Stud­ies in War­saw. He runs cours­es, work­shops and sem­i­nars. He sits on a jury at per­cus­sion com­pe­ti­tions.
