An actor, direc­tor and teacher; grad­u­ate of the State High­er School of The­atre in Cra­cow.

As an actor he debuted in Cracow’s Old The­atre in T.S. Eliot’s Mur­der in the Cathe­dral direct­ed by Jerzy Jaroc­ki. How­ever, his great­est act­ing cre­ations could be wit­nessed in the­atres in Gdańsk and Gdy­nia. The audi­ence can remem­ber him from such roles as Yepikhodov in The Cher­ry Orchard,  Euty­chi­an in Iry­dion, Jacob Lomakhin in Tales from Hol­ly­wood, Hen­ryk Choław­ic­ki in Pos­sessed, Count in Pan Tadeusz, Max Brod in The Trap, Parolles in All‘s Well That Ends Well, Mr Smith in The Bald Pri­ma Don­na, Bojars­ki in Twi­light, Sade in Marat – Sade, He in The Two, Mazurkiewicz in The Sol­dier of the Queen of Mada­gas­car or Viel­brand in Unken­rufe.

He is equal­ly suc­cess­ful as a direc­tor. He direct­ed the con­tro­ver­sial per­for­mance of The Mar­riage of Figaro at the Baltic Opera (Award of the Mar­shal of Pomeran­ian Voivod­ship), The Gyp­sy Princess by Kalman, Ernani by Ver­di, Mozart and Salieri by Rim­sky-Kor­sakov, and also semi-stage ver­sions of Luisa Miller by Ver­di and Nor­ma by Belli­ni. He worked as a direc­tor in the­atres in War­saw, Gdańsk, Gdy­nia, Poz­nań, Biel­sko-Biała, Olsz­tyn, Kielce, and Kalisz. In 2002 he won an award of the Asso­ci­a­tion of Pol­ish Stage Actors for Ionesco’s The Les­son staged in Biel­sko-Biała. At the Dra­ma The­atre in Białys­tok he direct­ed Phan­tom Pains by Sigarev and Moose Hunt­ing by Wal­czak. His recent pre­mieres in Biel­sko-Biała were: Sand­box by M. Wal­czak with Anna Guzik in one of the main roles, and God of Car­nage by Y. Reza. Warsaw’s audi­ence can watch his Accom­pa­nist by A.Burzyńska with Han­na Śleszyńs­ka and Jan Jankows­ki in ‘Syre­na’ The­atre and A Mad Woman by N. Ptushk­i­na with Edy­ta Olszówka and Leszek Żurek, Same Time, Next Year by B.Slade with Olga Bończyk and Piotr Gąsows­ki in ‘Kamieni­ca’ The­atre, The Goose by N. Kola­da with Katarzy­na Figu­ra in ‘Capi­tol’ The­atre, Roman­tics by H. Levin in the Dra­ma The­atre, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof  by T. Williams with Janusz Gajos, Mał­gorza­ta Kożu­chows­ka, Edy­ta Olszówka, Ewa Wiśniews­ka, Bea­ta Ści­ba­kówna and Grze­gorz Małec­ki in the Nation­al The­atre, The Mis­an­thrope by Moli­er with Wojtek Solarz and Piotr Siwkiewicz in the Dra­ma The­atre of the city of War­saw, The Bald Pri­ma Don­na by E. Ionesco, work­shop per­for­mance of 4th year stu­dents of the Act­ing Depart­ment of the The­atre Acad­e­my in War­saw – Col­legium Nobil­i­um The­atre, and Toutou by Agnès i Daniel Besse with Han­na Śle­szyń­ska, Piotr Polk and Tomasz Sapryk in ‘Kamieni­ca’ The­atre.

He is Full Pro­fes­sor and lec­turer of the Fry­deryk Chopin Uni­ver­sity of Music and the Alek­sander Zel­werow­icz The­atre Acad­e­my.
