Ewa Kowar-Mikołajczyk, DMus

Grad­u­ate of the Fry­deryk Chopin Acad­e­my of Music in War­saw, vio­lin class­es of Pro­fes­sor Zenon Brzews­ki and Pro­fes­sor Mirosław Ławrynow­icz. A close asso­ciate of Pro­fes­sors and con­tin­u­a­tor of their method­olog­i­cal ideas. A vio­lin­ist of the War­saw Cham­ber Orches­tra and the War­saw Sym­pho­ny Orches­tra. The artist has made CD, radio and tele­vi­sion record­ings. She has giv­en con­certs in the whole of Europe, as well as in Korea and Japan (San­to­ry Hall).

Since 1986 she has worked as a vio­lin teacher at the Com­plex of State Music Schools no. 1, includ­ing the Z. Brzews­ki Gen­er­al Music School. In 2007 she taught at Keimyung Uni­ver­si­ty in South Korea. Ewa Kowar-Mikoła­jczyk sits on a jury of com­pe­ti­tions. She con­ducts vio­lin and cham­ber cours­es, as well as method­olog­i­cal lec­tures. She is a lec­tur­er and method­ol­o­gist of the Inter­na­tion­al Music Cours­es in Łań­cut (in 2013 she super­vised the Method­olog­i­cal Course). Her stu­dents win awards an nation­al and inter­na­tion­al com­pe­ti­tions.

For her teach­ing and artis­tic activ­i­ty she was award­ed with: Award of the Min­is­ter of Cul­ture, dec­o­ra­tion For Mer­its to Pol­ish Cul­ture, Medal of the Nation­al Edu­ca­tion Com­mit­tee, award of the FCUM’s Rec­tor, award of Direc­tor of the Cen­tre of Artis­tic Edu­ca­tion. Since 1996 she has been Gen­er­al Sec­re­tary of the Euro­pean String Teach­ers Asso­ci­a­tion Poland. Since 2009 Ewa Kowar-Mikoła­jczyk has been Pres­i­dent the Soci­ety of Friends of the Zenon Brzews­ki School in War­saw.

Ewa Kowar-Mikoła­jczyk, DMus, is a mem­ber of the Unit of String Instru­ments being part of the Depart­ment of Instru­men­tal and Edu­ca­tion­al Stud­ies of the Fry­deryk Chopin Uni­ver­si­ty of Music.
