Psychology and Pedagogy of Music Laboratory — ARCHIVAL MATERIALS

The Chair of Psy­chol­o­gy and Ped­a­gogy of Music func­tioned with­in the struc­ture of the Chair of Music Edu­ca­tion in the aca­d­e­m­ic year 2016/2017. It was cre­at­ed because the Inter-Depart­ment Unit of Psy­chol­o­gy of Music was closed down. Head of the Lab was dr Mał­gorza­ta Chmurzyńs­ka. The Unit of Psy­chol­o­gy of Music, which in turn was cre­at­ed as a result of the trans­for­ma­tion of the Inter-Depart­ment Chair of Psy­chol­o­gy of Music, was head­ed by dr hab. Bar­bara Kamińs­ka.

In terms of psy­chol­o­gy, teach­ing activ­i­ty cov­ers gen­er­al psy­chol­o­gy and psy­chol­o­gy of music class­es for stu­dents at the FCUM, Teach­ing Course Stu­dents as well as – in select­ed edi­tions – for doc­tor­al and post­grad­u­ate stu­dents. Cur­rent­ly, i.e., since the aca­d­e­m­ic year 2017/2018, psy­chol­o­gy and psy­chol­o­gy of music class­es have been taught by dr Bartłomiej Swe­bodz­ińs­ki, where­as ped­a­gogy and ped­a­gogy of music have been taught by as. Jakub Hutek.

The his­to­ry of psy­chol­o­gy at Warsaw’s uni­ver­si­ty of music and the units respon­si­ble for it are illus­trat­ed in archival mate­ri­als in the tabs on the left.
