The Lab­o­ra­to­ry is a new unit as part of the Chair of Music Edu­ca­tion. In includes com­posers and the­o­reti­cians employed at the Depart­ment of Choir Con­duct­ing, Music Edu­ca­tion, Church Music, Rhyth­mics and Dance who teach score read­ing, orches­tra­tion with arrange­ment, and propaedeu­tics of com­po­si­tion.

In Sep­tem­ber 2017, the Lab­o­ra­to­ry was an organ­is­er of the All-Poland Aca­d­e­m­ic and Artis­tic Con­fer­ence enti­tled Pierre Boulez – demi­urge of new music (con­fer­ence man­age­ment: ad. dr Aldona Nawroc­ka-Woź­ni­ak). On an annu­al basis, com­posers work­ing at Depart­ment of Choir Con­duct­ing, Music Edu­ca­tion, Church Music, Rhyth­mics and Dance and focused around the Chair of Music Edu­ca­tion as well as the Com­po­si­tion, Orches­tra­tion and Score Read­ing Lab­o­ra­to­ry organ­ise com­posers’ con­certs of stu­dents of the Depart­ment pre­sent­ing their com­po­si­tions and arrange­ments, which are also per­formed dur­ing oth­er con­certs, e.g., Christ­mas Eve Con­cert (20 Decem­ber 2017).
