The choir was created in 1990 at the suggestion of Prof. Andrzej Chorosiński. The Warsaw Boy’s and Men’s Choir gives approximately 30 concerts a year performing pieces coming from almost all periods, in to it great oratorio works which are often performed in famous concert halls under the leadership of conductors of great renown. Foreign tours (the Netherlands, Germany, France, Lithuania and Japan) during which the choir’s performances have met with recognition from both the audience and the critics, have become an essential form of activity.

In Poland the choir works with the most prestigious musical institutions, such as the Warsaw Philharmonic, Great Theatre — Polish National Opera, the International Festival “Wratislavia Cantans”. The Warsaw Boy’s and Men’s Choir can boast a great number of recordings, e.g.: G. Crumb’s Star Child CD which was given the Grammy Award in 2001.

Their other prestigious recordings are the ones containing the works by Krzysztof Penderecki: Credo, Pasja, Jutrznia, released by CD Accord. In the 2006/2007 season the choir won the “Golden band” at the International Choir Competition in Bratislava and first prize at the “Seghizzi Corale” competition in Gorizia, Italy.
