On 22 Feb­ru­ary 2018, the FCUM’s aca­d­e­m­ic com­mu­ni­ty cel­e­brat­ed the day of its patron – Fry­deryk Chopin. Among the atten­dants of the cer­e­mo­ny were Rec­tors and Vice-Rec­tors of friend high­er edu­ca­tion insti­tu­tions, rep­re­sen­ta­tives of the Min­istry of Cul­ture and Nation­al Her­itage — Lidia Skrzy­niarz, Head of Depart­ment Artis­tic Edu­ca­tion and Cul­tur­al Edu­ca­tion, Wio­let­ta Laszcz­ka-Bubień, Head of Depart­ment of High­er Edu­ca­tion of the DAE, Elż­bi­eta Pen­derec­ka, Pres­i­dent of the Lud­wig van Beethoven Soci­ety, Janusz Fogler, Head of Board of Authors’ Asso­ci­a­tion ZAIKS, Mieczysław Kominek, Pres­i­dent of the Main Board of Pol­ish Com­posers’ Union, and Grze­gorz Michal­s­ki, Pres­i­dent of the Pol­ish Music Coun­cil.

Rec­tor of the FCUM, prof. dr hab. Klaudiusz Baran, also wel­comed for­mer Rec­tors of the FCUM – prof. dr hab. Andrzej Chorosińs­ki and prof. dr hab. Ryszard Zimak, Hon­orary Pro­fes­sors and aca­d­e­m­ic com­mu­ni­ty.

Pro­gramme of the event:

The artis­tic part was the per­for­mance of Sabi­na Bury (from piano class taught by Janusz Ole­jniczak) who played Fry­deryk Chopin’s — Andante Spi­ana­to and Grande Polon­aise in E-flat Major op. 22.
