Chair of Sound Engineering
Chair of Sound Engineering, formerly named Chair of Music Recording and Production, was founded by Professor Janusz Urbański in 1961. The Chair's teaching activity is focused on the issues closely connected with production and aesthetic problems of music recording and audiovisual arts.
Research activity of the Chair of Sound Engineering is related to specialist areas of music recording and sound in audiovisual arts. The main topics of research are aesthetic values of music recordings, aesthetic values of film sound and recording of surround sound. The Chair organizes seminars and workshops on tonmeistering problems.
