General information and test dates
This information concerns all Polish and UE candidates - who passes the Polish language certificate on level B1.
Further information about graduate and post-graduate courses for foreign students may be obtained from the FCUM International Office.
As of the 2007/008 academic year, studies at our University will be conducted at two levels, I and II, full-time or part-time (depending on the department and the speciality).
Freshmen recruitment 2007/2008 will qualify for Level I (undergraduate) studies lasting 3 years (6 semesters).
Level I graduates will receive the title of Bachelor, which will entitle them to continue their education at Level II (graduate) studies, on successful completion of which they will receive the title of Master. Recruitment will be the responsibility of the Department Recruitment Committees appointed according to the Higher Education Act of 27 July 2005, art. 169 par. 7.
Knowledge and skills tests not assessed by the secondary school final examination (matura) have been accepted by force of the decision of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of 17 May 2006.
The recruitment procedure is competitive and its results are public.
Candidates for each department and speciality will be accepted in order of test outcomes (the highest number of points, next highest etc.), within the limit for each department (speciality).
In cases justified by outstanding aptitude and interest, students may be permitted to study according to an individual schedule and curriculum and also to complete their studies in a shorter term.
Part-time courses are payable. Fees shall be defined annually by the FCUM Senate.
Knowledge and skills tests shall take place in the second half of June, i.e., prior to the onset of recruitment to other types of higher education establishments:
- FCUM in Warsaw - 18-22 June 2007
- FCUM Białystok Branch - 25-29 June 2007
