Krzysztof Podejko studied the violin at the State College of Music (now the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music) in Warsaw in Professor Irena Dubiska's class. He continued his postgraduate studies with Professor Tadeusz Wronski.
He won first prize at the Polish National Inter-College Chamber Music Competition in Lodz, first prize at the International Violin Competition in Markneukirchen (Germany) and first prize and Grand Prix at the International String Quartet Competition in Colmar (France).
He has worked with the National Philharmonic Chamber Ensemble under Karol Teutsch and later with Jerzy Maksymiuk's Polish Chamber Orchestra. He was also member of the "Polish Quartet" and the famous "Warsaw Quintet" with Wladyslaw Szpilman, Stefan Kamasa, Andrzej Orkisz and Jan Tawroszewicz. He has toured the whole of Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and the USA as a soloist and chamber musician.
He has performed at such famous concert halls as: Wigmore Hall (London), Carnegie Hall (New York), Pleyel Hall (Paris), Finlandia Hause (Helsinki), Mexico University, Sidney Opera, Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), M. Glinka Hall (Sanct Petersburg), Grand Auditorium de Radio France (Paris) and the Art Centre (Taugu, South Korea).
Krzysztof Podejko has frequently recorded for radio broadcasting houses in Berlin, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Basil, Bern and Polish Radio. He has also been concertmaster for the Warsaw Chamber Orchestra and the Staatstheater orchestra in Darmstadt (Germany).
He conducts seminars for teachers and students at various levels of education. He also sits on the juries of many auditions and competitions. He has led Master Courses in Lublin, Kyong Ju - Sommer Music Camp & Festival (South Korea), the Music Forum "From Chopin to Górecki" (AMFC Warsaw) and Master Courses for students of SOAI University in Osaka. He taught the violin as Visiting Professor at Keimyung University Daegu (South Korea) for three semesters and Keimyung F. Chopin Academy of Music Daegu for two semesters.
Krzysztof Podejko is an expert at the State Accreditation Commission at the Ministry of Education.
In march 2004 he received the title of Professor of Musical Arts from the President of the Republic of Poland.
In 1990 he began to teach a master violin class at the Frederic Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw.
