	Prof. Andrzej Mysinski

Andrzej Mysiński, born in 1948, studied double-bass with Prof. Tadeusz Pelczar (an honours degree in 1972 from Warsaw's State Higher Schooll of Music - now the F. Chopin Academy of Music). In 1971-80, he played in Jerzy Maksymiuk's Polish Chamber Orchestra, based in Warsaw Chamber Opera whose director is Stefan Sutkowski. With that orchestra, he made numerous recordings for the radio, TV and record companies, including the British EMI (G. Rossini's Sonatas for String Orchestra).
Since 1985, Andrzej Mysinski has been Artistic Director of the Concerto Avenna Warsaw Soloists. With that orchestra he has appeared as a musician, soloists and conductor at concerts in the USA, Mexico, Japan, the United Emirates of Arabia, Great Britain, France, Norwey, Spain, Denmark, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Turkey, the former Czechoslovakia, Bulgaria, Romania, and others. As the artistic director of the ensamble, he participated in many recordings for the BBC in London, TV Mexico, NHK, other television stations, as well as record companies (36 CDs under Polish and foreign labels, incl. CD Accord, Syrinx, Adda, Polygram, Sony-Classical). Together with Concerto Avenna, he has appeared at famous festivals, such as the Warsaw Autumn, Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, the Lufthansa Baroque Music Festival in London, the Danish Vessby Music Festival and Copenhagen Music Festival, Prague Music Spring, Bergen Music Festival, Istanbul Music Festival, Holland Festival.
In 1990, he received the Warsaw Province Award for outstanding achievements in the promotion of Baroque Music.
Since 1972, he has been on the faculty of Warsaw's F. Chopin Academy of Music, originally as an assistant professor of double-bass in the class of Prof. Tadeusz Pelczar, now - as a professor of double-bass teaching his own class.
In 1994-96, he was director of the Early Music Studio in that academy.
He also teaches numerous master classes of double-bass and chamber music, in Poland and abroad.
