Professor Jagna Dankowska

Jagna Dankowska, Ph.D.: postdoctoral degree in philosophy (Warsaw University), sound engineer (Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music - AMFC), Professor at the AMFC.

1991-2005 - head of the Unit of Humanities and Foreign Languages (now the Chair of Humanities ). Academic year 2002/2003 - 2004/2005 - vice-dean then dean of the Department of Composition, Conducting and Music Theory. She specialises in the philosophy of music, particularly nineteenth-century German philosophy of music as well as Polish philosophy and aesthetics of music.

Author of The Foundations of Philosophy of Music. German 19th century philosophy and music aesthetics (Warsaw 2001) and many articles on the philosophy and aesthetics of music.
