The Sound Library

The Sound Library is an organisational unit of the AMFC Main Library.
A new Sound Library laboratory, the archival recording reconstruction laboratory, began to operate a year ago. Thanks to this laboratory we hope to archive our most precious collections on digital carriers. The Sound Laboratory collects music in the following forms:

The AMFC Sound Library collection is catalogued on index cards.
Only AMFC students, faculty and employees have access to the Sound Library collections. Students can listen to selected pieces in one of four cabins. They can also record selected fragments on audio cassettes (the cabins are equipped with a cassette tape recorder, amplifier and loudspeakers).
The Sound Library does not lend any materials off the AMFC premises and does not make any copies of its collections.
