Research Activity
The Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music is involved in a wide range of activities, both scientific and artistic conducted in eighteen chairs and three units.
A unique feature of the Academy is its research activity that brings together art and science. The Academy Chairs conduct interdisciplinary research in various areas of science: music theory, psychology of music, pedagogy of music, musical acoustics, room acoustics, technology of sound recording, audiology and phoniatry. Numerous research projects carried out at the Academy were supported by the Polish Committee for Scientific Research. Results of research were published in Polish and international scientific journals as well as in books. The Academy's faculty members have presented papers at international scientific congresses and symposia.
