Instrumental and Educational Department in Białystok

The Bialystok Branch of the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music trains musicians representing various specialities according to two different systems: day studies and individual tutoring. Students acquire pedagogical licence to teach playing musical instruments and to teach music education classes at comprehensive and music schools. About 190 students study at the Bialystok Branch at one time.

Departments:
Instrumental studies - speciality: instrumental pedagogy
Fine art education - speciality: Vocal and vocal-instrumental ensembles conducting, Fine art school education, Church music.

The following main courses are taught: pedagogy, psychology, method and practical training, instrumental studies and conducting. The faculty at the Bialystok Branch is linked to with the respective chairs at the Academy. The following professors are responsible for the main courses: Violetta Bielecka and Bozenna Sawicka (conducting), Jan Kadlubiski (piano), Juliusz Pietrachowicz (trombone), Beniamin Przezdziek (clarinet), Andrzej Zielinski (cello).
