The cycle "Nestors of Polish Pianistics", initiated and conducted at the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music by Prof. Maria Szraiber, resulted in a two-volume publication under her editorship. It contains artistic biographies of nine pianists - esteemed professors of the Warsaw academy - and reminiscences of their former students and friends.
Each volume is completed by a section of documentary and archival materials selected from the exhibitions accompanying each edition of the cycle, as well as a compact disc containing historic recordings of the featured artists, selected from the extensive archives of Polish Radio.
